By maturing in small batches in five unique barrels, a rich, complex and varied, but above all historical flavor was created. Using the contents of barrels with different aging ranging from 7 to 21 years, it allowed to create the richest Laphroaig flavor possible. As the name suggests, this new version of Laphroaig is inspired by the knowledge and traditions handed down from generation to generation by distillery managers, blenders and artisans.
In 2019 it was also named Best Scotch Whisky No Age by Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
