Nearly six months after its release, Homeworld 3 continues to grapple with mixed reviews on Steam and predominantly negative lifetime ratings. This reflects ongoing issues with the game’s current state, as many players report challenges with organization and a lack of support for effective strategic planning. Although the game saw a promising start with over 9,000 players on launch day, its current average has dwindled to around 60 concurrent players, according to PCGamesN.

In an effort to address player concerns, a free update slated for November is expected to introduce new game modes and additional content, a much-needed boost for a struggling player base. However, future updates remain uncertain as Blackbird Interactive has prioritized staff well-being over accelerated development timelines in the past.
