My Name is Whisky’ dedicated a bottling to Giorgio D’Ambrosio, Italian “Father of Single Malt” with 221 bottles from a Mortlach 22 years old cask, selected with Max Righi’s Silver Seal company.
100 bottles were imported for the international market (blue label) and the others were released for the Italian market (red label).

The influence of the first fill Oloroso sherry cask has resulted in a very dry whisky, with marked winey notes and an intense nose of sour red fruits (wild berries, cherries, but also peaches). At the palate, the dry character of the sherry is dominating: fragrantly fruity, but very spicy and hot, sharp like a blade.
