Sunny, light-bodied, malty and very fragrant at the nose: it’s a flowery and fresh expression of Speyside that calls for springtime! But the finish in first fill Oloroso for 2 years gives it a twist at the palate, where it gains robustness and spice. It still remains light/medium bodied, fresh and agile, mineral and clean, with notes of orange juice and peel, peaches and apricots, but it starts to become peppery. With every sip, the spicy side begins to dominate, especially after a few seconds and in the aftertaste: no sweetness, it becomes dry, tight, even a bit astringent.
